Everywhere's Got Talent

I've been listening to this guy for the last few days, his voice is so keat! I hadn't been following this year's season of American Idol (actually i haven't followed any season of the show), but after reading about this Adam Lambert guy everywhere - in the newspaper, on the internet, on radio - i've decided to check him out on YouTube, and boy was he good....

Listen for yourself.

I love this performance the most, Adam performing Mad World. Check out his facial expression.

A clearer studio version

While looking for more Adam's video, i stumbled upon another reality show talent - Susan Boyle from Scotland.

3:20 - Priceless Simon Cowell moment, lol...

Her face is like the bansan auntie, but her voice is another story. Imagine the bansan auntie you see at the market suddenly sing like this.... OMG, siao ki.

So many talented people waiting to be discovered...

Bakat Gila....

While youtubing the other day, i came across this amazing band called Naturally 7 from America. They make songs entirely with their own voices and sounds from body movements such as clapping and tapping. The sound of drums, guitar, bass, trombone, synthesizer, flute, and even the DJ scratching sound, are all mimicked by the band members. None of them - with the exception of the bass man - can play an actual instrument! They called this type of music 'vocal play'.

Check out this vid, some crazy talent they have... i like the guitar solo best, totally blown away!

A Song For My Friend

"The One Man Band"

Thanks to the inspiration and encouragement from my dear friend Adele, i've successfully recorded my first song... woohoo!!
Well actually it's not written by me, but who cares, i sang and played it!!

This afternoon so sien nothing to do, so took my laptop into my studio aka bedroom to record a simple guitar melody for her. Sitting there looking for a programme to record, i stumbled upon this mixer thing in my laptop, which i didn't even know was there.

So after playing the guitar part, the musician inside me got more adventurous and added vocals, but then still bo kam buan want to do some percussion. Eventually one thing let to another, and it ended up with vocals, guitar, piano, drums, background vocals...... And it actually sounds great!

Adele, don't forget you owe me your song...
